A listing with several units counts each unit sold as one sale.
For buyers
The price on the listing covers the item. On top of it, the buyer pays the cost of the payment method they choose — processing and, when there is one, currency conversion. The checkout shows the total of each method before you pay, and nothing is added after you confirm. Pix has no processing fee.
Coupons are paid by StarPlace out of its own fee: they lower what the buyer pays and never what the seller receives. StarPlace wallet credit can pay part of an order.
Payment methods
Buyers in Brazil — charged in reais
- Pix — instant, with a QR code or a copy-and-paste code that expires in 30 minutes.
- PayPal — PayPal balance or card, on PayPal's own page.
- Credit card — through Mercado Pago, in installments; installment interest, when it applies, is set by the card issuer.
Prices are in US dollars; the checkout converts them and shows the exact amount in reais before you pay.
Buyers in every other country — charged in US dollars
- PayPal — card or PayPal balance, billed in US dollars, with no currency conversion on our side.
The total you see at checkout is the amount charged.
Which of the two applies is decided by the country of the buyer's connection, not by the language of the site.
How the money moves
Payment confirmed
The order opens in escrow and the seller is notified. The seller is only asked to deliver after this point.
Delivery
The seller sends the official RSI gift to the buyer's RSI e-mail within the delivery time chosen in the listing, and marks the order as sent.
Release
When the buyer confirms receipt — or automatically 7 days after payment, once the seller has marked the gift as sent with proof of delivery, if the buyer takes no action and no dispute is open.
Wallet
The seller's payout lands in their StarPlace wallet, in US dollars.
Withdrawal
By Pix (Brazil) or PayPal, from $10.00. Withdrawals are reviewed and paid manually, usually within 2 business days.
Withdrawals
Seller earnings land in the StarPlace wallet when an order completes. From there you withdraw by Pix (Brazil) or PayPal, from $10.00, one request at a time. Withdrawals are reviewed and paid manually, usually within 2 business days. StarPlace charges no withdrawal fee, and the same balance can also pay for purchases on StarPlace.
Refunds, disputes and chargebacks
If something goes wrong, the buyer opens a dispute and the money stays held until StarPlace staff decide, looking at the evidence from both sides.
If a payment is reversed after a delivery made as agreed, StarPlace investigates first; when there is no bad faith on either side, StarPlace absorbs the reversal and any case or chargeback fee, and the seller keeps the payout. The full rules are in Refunds & Chargebacks.
When fees change
We announce fee changes at least 30 days in advance, on the Terms page or by e-mail, and a change never applies to orders already in progress.
